Why it exists

The big League stat sites (op.gg, u.gg, lolalytics) are great at what — what to build, what's strong, what wins. They're not great at how to play this exact game: how your team comp wants to fight, which 5 bans hurt your specific allies most, what the jungler's clear route should be against this enemy comp. YordleDiff is built to fill that gap.

It's also built to be opened immediately. No account funnel, no install, no "claim your profile" step before you can see anything. Open the tool, see the data, close the tab.

How the data works

Recommendations come from current-patch ranked games at Emerald+, scraped via the same public APIs the other LoL aggregators use. Build paths, runes, matchup win rates, synergy deltas, ban impact — all real-game numbers. Every recommendation surfaces its sample size and win rate; nothing is invented or "balanced for fairness."

Where the engine has to pick between a popular item and a higher-win-rate one, it uses a Wilson lower bound on win rate — statistically defensible “this actually wins” ranking rather than chasing the most-built item. Same logic for boots vs comp, for slot picks vs the enemy comp, and for the “Highest WR” parallel build path on each champion.

What makes it different

Status

YordleDiff launched May 2026, on patch 16.10. Data refreshes every few days via a manual scrape pass; once Riot's biweekly patch ships, we re-scrape and update. The full stack — the engines, the UI, the data — is built and maintained by a tiny team that plays the game daily.
