On the power curve, Hwei is a scaling champion: comparatively weak early, but one of the strongest picks on the map once core items come online — so the plan is to survive the laning phase and take the game over late.

How Hwei wins: grouped 5-v-5 teamfights, where Hwei tips the fight, and sieging objectives and turrets with sustained pressure. The kit grades 8/10 teamfighting, 8/10 siege, 7/10 waveclear. Play around where Hwei is thin, split-push and mobility (2/10, 2/10), and the enemy loses their angle.

The most-played core build is Zaz'Zak's Realmspike, Blackfire Torch, Liandry's Torment, which holds a 51.3% win rate across 952 games this patch. Item order and defensive swaps update against whichever enemy comp you select.

The matchup to respect is Blitzcrank, where Hwei sits at just 43.2%, the lane swings the other way into Aphelios (60.8%), and on the team side, Hwei gains the most from a Shaco (+11.1% pair win rate).
